I sought a career change in 2016, studying marketing via tutorials.
I landed a job at the UK's leading retirement housebuilder McCarthy & Stone, where I learnt on the job with direction from a strong Group marketing/digital team.
Nearly three years later, I work for the widely regarded boxing charity Empire Fighting Chance as sole content marketer/in-house photographer.
Above is a link to my first large project at Empire Fighting Chance, a 40-page booklet on our impact in 2018.
Alongside my full-time work, I have recently started to take on freelance marketing jobs. I consult on social media strategy and content for Bristol-based party supplies brand and provide graphic design support.

I credit a McCarthy & Stone director for making the decision that all of her marketing executives would have to learn and take responsibility for the graphic design output for the region.
This was a great on the job learning experience which has given me the graphic design capabilities to create social media graphics, or marketing collateral. I now have two years' experience of Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design. Click image below for examples from McCarthy & Stone, Empire Fighting Chance and Partymedic.
As a freelancer, I understand that websites can be very expensive, so I set upon building this website myself. I also built the website for signs and engraving business Engravatec, shown below.
These websites are "just" Wix websites, and the ability to build attractive, mobile-friendly and SEO optimised websites sites quickly through Wix without advanced coding, means a cheaper and quicker end result.

I have been practising photography for over 10 years now, working for various clients from weddings to small businesses, brands and musicians. Although my visual style varies, I consider myself strongest at capturing moments between people. However, I will listen to any request for a commission, just get in touch.
I have always loved creative writing. In fact, my love of writing got me into photography, when I realised I could make my live music reviews more appealing with a photograph. I have been published in Crack Magazine and International DJ Magazine, and although I no longer write reviews, I am studying Copywriting online in my spare time via The College of Media and Publishing. If you're looking for an entry-level price point to reflect my un-accredited experience level, get in touch.
DJing since around 2008/2009, I have been fortunate to play in various venues in Bristol (Trinity Centre, Motion, Thekla, Dojo), London (Corsica Studios) and Leeds (The Faversham). I am the current resident at the Pasture restaurant in Bristol where I play soulful music across genres on monthly Saturday nights.
I have also DJ'd at several weddings, and offer a package deal for Wedding Photography and DJing, saving you time in sourcing additional people for your big day.
I have an eclectic music taste and my specialty is playing different styles, including:
- Classic and modern hip-hop and RNB.
- Soul, northern soul, disco, funk, rare groove.
- Underground and classic house and techno.
- Indie, rock and punk.
- 80s pop and modern.
If you have different requirements to the above genres, I'll be happy to discuss with you, and if I'm not able to tailor a set to your preference I will look to source a DJ for you who can.
